Chris King Open House 22 / Portland Bike builder Show

The 2022 Chris King open House was a right blast – making up for the all pent up energy of needing to connect in person, whilst heavy nerding out on lusty bikes. The stars of the show were quite many / pretty much everything 🙂 , but the ability to chat with the super talented builders about builds , details and components was by far the highlight . Nineteen bicycle builders, numerous great bike companies mixed in with the builders, free snacks and beers, and new colour from Chris King -with a new headset design! … how could this event not be a hit?

Moots – Steamboad Springs, Colorado

Moots (@mootscycles) were showing off a new road / allroad bike called the CRD. The clean look of the front end came from some help from Chris Kings AeroSet headset which routes the brake lines through the headtube while still using two 44mm cups. Look how clean the front of that Moots looks!

No 22 Cycles – Johnsontown, New York

technology and integration was the name of the game here with a custom 3d printed and annodized titanium stem, 3d printed rear dropouts and a super clean look with integrated headtube cable routing. (@22bikes)

Speedvagen – Portland, Oregon

Not only did Speedvagen (@speedvagen) bring a ritzy new bike to the show they also tricked out their Volvo and sauced up a classy downtube shifter number with the same modern paint scheme. Boom.
