I was introduced to DeFeet brand via gloves a long time ago when they were popular in cyclocross racing because of their slim fit and grippy palms. Fast forward to years later and I am still using them, in a slightly different version.
Gloves
DeFeet Wool Blend $29.99
The version I am using the most nowadays is the wool bend version of the Duraglove. (40% merino wool) I have a had super favorable results with this variant due to its warmth, tactility and durability. It slays for hand feel and versatility in the 40-55 degree range.

here is why I like them:
Form fitting – with a sock like fit the gloves shrink around your hand and fingers, The material does have a little stretch to them like a sock, this tighter yet comfortable fit means a natural feel of the handlebars, hoods shifters and levers is very realistic- theres less barrier and awkwardness between you and the controls. They also work great with cycling computers and buttons on lights. The ones designated with “ET” mean they work exceptionally well with touch screens and have the conductive weave in the fingertips that make it easy for your phone use.
Grippy – The underside of the knit gloves have flexible grippy rubber design printed on thats just right, not too grabby.
Warm yet breathable – the mix of a wool blend with the knit construction means the glove breaths naturally through the spacing of the knit unlike other sewn panel materials. I find this to be extra comfortable for riding because my hands don’t get sweaty and I like the airiness of them
Great Temperature range – everyone has different sensitivities but I wear the wool gloves from 55 degrees down to about 40 degrees, anything below 40 and the glove is not heavy enough. This 15 degree swing affords a lot of Autumn riding and even some nicer day Winter riding, which is perfect in my books
Shower Resistant – This glove is light shower resistant but I wouldn’t class it as a wet weather glove. Mainly dry, sprinkles, yes.
Defeet Wool Blend Gloves here on Amazon $29.99
If you are looking for something similar in fit, but you want more waterproofing the ShowersPass Crosspoint glove (here) and Here – showerspass an excellent reference. Similar manufacturing style but with a waterproof barrier sewn in. they are however a little less breathable than the defeet due to the waterproof membrane and tight fit
DeFeet Shoe Covers – Slipstream and Strada
DeFeet Slipstream 4″ D Logo and Strada Versions $22 – $27
A competent general protective and light insulation cover for crispy mornings, providing protection from sloppy roadside leaves and debris along with light showers. Offered in bright colours and hi viz versions also. If you are wearing shoe covers when you need waterproofing then these covers are probably not for you. As they are not waterproof!.

here is why I like them:
Protection = they protect your shoe from road grim and dirt in Autumn and Winter. They also repel moisture that is on the road in a drier day. On cooler days they offer a thin layer of wind blocking.
Comfort – Very breathable due to the kit construction -unlike a waterproof bootie, these covers are very breathable, no hot sweaty and worse clammy feet in these.
Safety – You can get these in Black or you can go the high viz route, a few style also have reflective cuffs built in, a nice touch for safety. DeFeet stopped making the Slipstream model in the Orange, which is a shame because I thought it more tasteful (yet still highly visible) when compared to Neon yellow Strada version.
Light Showers – no big deal these covers are going to help protect you a little. Raining steady though- this is not a waterproof bootie and if you wear them in heavy rain they will feel like heavy wet socks!. These are great for Autumn days and drier winter days
STRADA – The Strada version have a higher cuff by a couple of inches, they also have pre cut out cleat holes and a rear of shoe hole. The Strada’s do come with reflective accents which is a good safety feature. I find the Strada’s are a little more fussy to get on and off due to the longer cuff.
SLIPSTREAM – The Slipstream version has a lower cuff by a couple of inches but you have to use a pair of scissors to make a cleat opening (which I prefer also, as I don’t need the rear opening). On a road shoe I prefer not to have the rear of shoe hole cut out and I also like the lower cuff of the Slipstream version as it makes getting the cover on and off the shoe a little bit easier.
