Crosspoint Gear – Touch capacitive, knit glove

It’s been long awaited, Crosspoint Gear just launched their knit touch capacitive gloves. This offers a snug, nice feel fit with high dexterity, waterproofing, and the ability to use your phone.

the pros

  • nice fit snug fit due to knit construction
  • touch capacitance works great, but not with fingerprint sensor unlock -type the code
  • pretty dang waterproof
  • good index finger feel on shifters
  • durable outer nylon using thicker yarn, brushed soft inner material
  • works great to 42 degrees f ( 5c)
  • good price $47
  • available in viz orange

the cons

  • not as warm at the Q36.5 version (assuming you may need more warmth)
  • touch capacitance works great, but not with fingerprint sensor unlock
  • knit construction means taking on and off is more time consuming than a panel glove
  • can have a cooling affect when fully saturated

Summary

You should have a pair of these, versatile great adder to your gear bag. Just don’t ride in a monsoon when its below 42degrees and you will be fine.
Note: For extra longevity, remove with ease, pulling hard on the fingers because of the tight fit may compromise the inner membrane , thus you will lose some waterproofing.

    1. hey Doug, its the same kit / membrane / waterproofing technology. Showers Pass is the parent company. Crosspoint Gear is going after a wider than cycling market, thus they do their marketing a bit different. For what I can tell both gloves perform the same. Im not so hot on the Marino lined ones, I think the regular nylon ones are better.
