KILLAWATT! … indoor training on rollers just got a lot better! the Krietler roller reinvention – where have you been!

I have always been somewhat of a rollers fanboy. Maybe this was from my days racing velodrome, where we used them to warm up for races or maybe because there is an art and skill to riding rollers that develops your balance and cadence that other training devices cannot replicate as easily. I have used many a turbo trainer, but at heart I still like the velvet feel of some Krietlers. Have you tried rollers for your training?

I recently found that Krietler have just launched a super add on device called the Killawatt that lets you increase the amount of resistance / power of the rollers.

Why though? In the past, my issue had been that I could only make around 200Watts on my rollers, (you are limited by the systems natural resistance, speed and cadence) I use a smaller frame rollers for portability, plus I didn’t like the clunky and complex power adding devices at the time ,ie the headwind fan.

The new accessory Killawatt lets you add variable resistance from 200W to around 350W using a system that employs magnet power to create resistance and a simple device. I cannot wait to get one of these uber functional add ons and give it a test. Stay tuned!

Can I use this with Zwift? – YESWhat you need…

As always drop a comment below…. have you tried rollers?
